These days I work not only in watercolor and printable dye, with
a neutral ink line, but digitally as well. It's a rich and
interesting mix. I've been working on a Cintiq, a large moniter
on which I draw and paint virtually. It's terrific. I always use
it for black line work, because the finished art is crisp and
clean, and can be endlessly manipulated. The art, either scanned
watercolor or digital, is delivered directly via my ftp site or
yours. I can ship you a disk. I can even ship you original art!
Hurray technology!
.
I've always been self represented. Self representation allows me
to develop a working relationship with you the client, that
promotes maximum creativity in the art. I see the business end
of illustrating as exciting and mutually beneficial.
My clients can expect a natural racial, ethnic balance in my art
and women in a full spectrum of roles. I love showing both men
and women relating with freedom and respect, and drawing engaged
and self respecting children, as well as animals who are more
like us than different.
